Laboratory (UBTL) in 1971 as part of the Utah Research Institute to perform artifical heart research.  In 1974 became one of the first privately held laboratories in the U.S. to offer Industrial Hygiene testing. In 1983 UBTL became a privately held company. Entered the expanding environmental
analytical chemistry arena in order to support the EPA, DoD and private industry. In 1986 UBTL incorporated its analytical chemistry department into a new entity - DataChem
Laboratories, Inc. DataChem established its Cincinnati Laboratory in 1987 to accommodate the dense manufacturing sector located in the eastern U.S. Opened Microbiological/Mycology Division in 2002. Celebrated 30 years in business in 2004.
Re-entered the radiochemistry arena with purchase of Paragon Analytics, also in 2004.  Expanded western region with the acquisition of CCI Analytical Laboratories in Everett, WA in 2006. Established an onsite mixed waste and full radiochemistry laboratory to provide analytical
services to the DOE. Celebrated 25 years of continuous service to NIOSH as their premier method development
laboratory. Expanded IH services to provide testing for DOE facilities across the country.
